Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Crisis Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization (such as a school, NGO, or government agency), you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on that organization’s behalf. Additional written agreements may supplement or override parts of these Terms.

Crisis Connect is an offline-first emergency communication tool designed to help people communicate during natural disasters, network outages, infrastructure failures, and other crisis situations. The App primarily uses Bluetooth-based communication to enable local messaging and emergency alerts without requiring an active internet or cellular connection. Crisis Connect is not a replacement for official emergency services (such as 112, 911, or other national emergency numbers).

You may use the App only if: You are legally allowed to use software in your country, You agree to these Terms, and You use the App in compliance with applicable laws, including disaster and emergency regulations. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to: Download and install the App on your personal device, Use the App for personal, non-commercial, educational, or organizational purposes, Use the App during drills, tests, or real emergency situations. You may not reverse engineer, rent, sell, or use the App for unlawful purposes.

Crisis Connect is designed for offline and degraded network environments. However, this also means: Messages may be delayed, lost, or never delivered; Bluetooth ranges are physically limited; Battery, device hardware, and environment may affect performance.

By using the App, you acknowledge and accept these technical limitations.

Crisis Connect is not an official emergency service and does not directly connect you to firefighters, police, or medical teams. We cannot guarantee that any message or SOS signal will be seen or acted upon. Always attempt to contact official emergency services where possible.

We are not responsible if a message does not reach its destination or if rescue is delayed.

The App may include an SOS feature that allows users to send distress messages and broadcast emergency alerts.

• Use the SOS feature responsibly and only in real emergencies or drills.
• Do not trigger false SOS alerts.
• Do not spam or flood the network.
• Intentionally disrupting responders or other users is prohibited.

Misuse of the SOS feature may endanger real victims and have legal consequences. We reserve the right to disable features if misuse is detected.

When using Crisis Connect, you are responsible for:

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Messages are stored locally on user devices. No centralized message history is kept on our servers. Bluetooth communication is used for device-to-device messaging.

Crisis Connect may use encryption, identity tokens, and anti-spam mechanisms. However, no system is 100% secure. Bluetooth and offline communication may be vulnerable to interference or interception under certain conditions.

All intellectual property rights in the App, the Crisis Connect name/logo, and the Auralis brand are owned by us. You may not claim ownership or create derivative works without permission.

The App and website may use third-party services (e.g., Firebase Hosting, analytics). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

You agree that your use of Crisis Connect is at your own risk. The App is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis, without warranties of any kind.

• Availability in all regions and on all devices
• Uninterrupted operation
• Error-free performance

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of life, injury, harms, dropped messages, or lost data arising from your use of the App.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auralis from any claims arising out of your misuse of the App, violation of these Terms, or false use of emergency features.

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App or these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Disputes will be addressed through negotiation or competent courts in Turkey.

If any provision is invalid, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and remaining provisions will remain in effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and separate agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
